'Teen Wolf' season 6: series to end with the show's 100th episode

(Tumbler / Teen Wolf)Actor Tyler Posey will play regular guy Scott McCall and a werewolf for the last season when "Teen Wolf" returns in November.

The 100th episode milestone of the series "Teen Wolf" will happen in the upcoming season 6 and the episode will also serve as the season's finale as well as the show's end.

The announcement was made by showrunner Jeff Davis at the San Diego Comic-Con during the show's panel. He said, "'TeenWolf' has been an extraordinary journey, one that captured the hearts and imaginations of fans more than we could've ever imagines. We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure."

"Teen Wolf" premiered in 2011 and the story revolves around a high school student named Scott McCall, who is portrayed by actor Tyler Posey. Season 1 showed how a scratch from an alpha werewolf caused him to turn into werewolf himself.

While trying to discover his abilities and discovering ways to control his transition, he met Derek Hale, played by actor Tyler Hoechlin, who comes from a family of werewolves. Through it all, he was also aided by his bestfriend Stiles Stilinksi as portrayed by actor Dylan O'Brien.

Scott also met and fell in love with a new student named Allison Argent, played by actress Crystal Reed. Allison comes from a family of hunters and it was also around that time when she discovered about her family's legacy.

Their love survived the new world that unfolded before them until Allison died in season 3. Scott and Stiles went on to meet new friend and allies as they face different foes, which included different kinds of supernaturals.

Season 6 promises to be a product of the collective hardwork of everyone involved. The first trailer was shared during the event, and Davis also said, "I know we're sad about it and it's bittersweet but we're so happy to be able to come to Comic Con and share it with you guys."

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is scheduled to premiere in November on MTV.
