'The Affair' season 3 episode 4 spoilers: Luisa and Alison face off over Cole

Alison (Ruth Wilson) is ready to be part of her daughter's life once again, but it will not be as easy as she expected it to be in the upcoming episode of "The Affair."
In the fourth episode of the Showtime series, the synopsis (as per TV Guide) reveals that Alison is back in her hometown Montauk to win back her kid's trust. It was revealed that little Joanie has been spending time with Cole (Joshua Jackson) and Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno) while her mother is trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Cole's wife is naturally angry that his ex is once again back to ruin things. She is still scared that Alison will snatch Cole away from her.
As per the promo, Luisa tells Cole that Alison is out to get everything from her. He tries to explain to her that Alison has the right to see her own child, but Luisa thinks the other woman has an ulterior motive for coming back. When the two come face to face, Luisa flat out accuses Alison of getting between her and Cole. In her defense, Alison tells her she just wants to be with her child. She knows Luisa has the power to stop her from seeing Joanie because she has the support of the legal system.
Luisa appears to be justified in her suspicions that Alison will destroy everything she has built with Cole. From the way he looks at his ex-wife, it is obvious he still cares for Alison.
Meanwhile, the police seem to be considering Cole as a suspect in Noah's (Dominic West) stabbing incident. A couple of men are shown asking him questions about where he was during the time of the crime. Cole is stupefied about the queries, because as he tells Alison, he has no idea Noah was already out of prison.
"The Affair" season 3 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
