Companies such as Alcatel have not given up on Windows devices and it appears that one more is in the works. More importantly, the device has already been spotted in a series of leaks and these have pointed towards it being the Idol 4 Pro.

In the latest leak about the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro, it was seen passing through WiFi Alliance (WFA) where it obtained its Wi-Fi certification. With this particular certification, it appears that the smartphone is one step closer to being released. MsPowerUser, which reported on the device making its way through the WFA, also reiterated that the process of the phone arriving in the market has been rather slow.

More importantly, when the listing for the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro was spotted on WFA, it was seen as a variant that was arriving for T-Mobile. This could indicate that the phone is going to be available via the carrier T-Mobile in the United States. However, this will not be the first time that T-Mobile offers devices made by Alcatel so it is likely that the listing is accurate.

As for the specs of the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro, its most recent listing shows it with a 6-inch display, but it was previously rumored to have a 5.5-inch version. The resolution on the display is expected to make it a full-HD version. As for the chipset, the smartphone is thought to have the latest Snapdragon 820 version which is coupled with a quad-core CPU. Storage onboard the device is expected to be around 64 GB and RAM is pegged at 4 GB.

These specifications, which were seen on the WFA listing, are similar to what was seen when the device passed through GFXBench earlier. Finally, as the device is expected to run Windows 10 Mobile, it is thought it will have support for the Continuum feature which will allow it to connect to a computer via a special connector, much like other smartphones offered by Microsoft.
