Jeremy Lin news: Linsanity spotted with different hairstyle — from spiky to bowl cut hairdo

Late last month, the media was in shock to see Jeremy "Linsanity" Lin's new hairstyle during the media day of National Basketball Association team Charlotte Hornets. Fans have already seen Lin's spiky hairdo; now, however, he was spotted on the floor without any gel on his hair, thus giving his current hairstyle a more bowl cut appeal.

Lin's new hairdo was first posted on Twitter on NBA's official account. In the photo, the basketball star was captured talking to Los Angeles Clippers' shooting guard and small forward Wesley Johnson.

"Wesley Johnson of the @LAClippers & @JLin7 of the @Hornets catch up in Shenzhen," the post reads.

However, fans weren't exactly focusing their attention on the two; instead, they were taken aback by Lin's bowl cut style.

During an interview with Lin last September, he told Charlotte Observer that the hairdo was actually a part of a plan wherein six friends and family members were also in for it. This plan, said Lin, is "not going to be released to the public until it actually happens."

When fans saw Lin debuting his haircut last September, many associated the spiky style to "Slam Dunk's" Akira Sendoh of team Ryonan and even to the "Dragon Ball Z" Super Saiyans. Now, after seeing his new hairstyle, it seems like Akira Sendoh is out of the picture and "Dragon Ball's" Son Gohan is pretty much more applicable at this point.

However, Lin didn't actually have gel on his hair during the time the photo was taken that's why his hairdo was a bit different.

Different hairstyles in every game or media appearance is not really that new in the NBA world. Many years back, former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman showed the world his colorful hairdo during his basketball career. In Lin's case, however, it's the hair positioning.
