'Naruto Shippuden' episode 465 spoilers: How Ashura and Indra became enemies

Episode 465 of "Naruto Shippuden" is a filler entry, though it does shed more light on the lives of some characters who have been mentioned numerous times throughout the series, Ashura and Indra.
Specifically, the episode focuses on the relationship of the two brothers and how it ultimately went from a loving one to one that became deadly for both.
The two brothers were different, both in the way they eventually came to see the world and in terms of their abilities.
Ashura did not possess the same natural abilities as his brother, though he eventually became powerful himself.
Conversely, Indra showed off incredible skills and abilities even at a young age and he even managed to awaken his Sharingan as he continued to get stronger.
Still, both brothers cared for each other while they were young and grew very close, though the differences still existed.
As user "shane71998" over on the Naruto Subreddit pointed out, while both brothers sought peace, the two had differing ideas when it came to how it could be claimed, with Ashura opting to avoid conflict, and Indra seeing force as a peace-making tool.
Driving the brothers even further apart was the decision of their father to appoint Ashura as his rightful successor, a move that obviously did not sit well with Indra.
Indra's discontent over the decision was only fueled further by Black Zetus, according to the Naruto Wikia.
Eventually, the brothers soon became too different.
Ashura still maintained those same ideals that he had, while Indra harbored the same thoughts from his youth as well.
The differences between the brothers began to multiply, and at some point, finally became irreconcilable.
Despite being brothers who loved and cared for each other greatly while they were still young, as episode 465 of "Naruto Shippuden" showed, too many differing traits simply made the relationship volatile, leading to an unfortunate end for both.
