The return of History Channel's hit TV series "Vikings" for the second half of its season 4 is drawing even closer and details about the midseason premiere keep popping up.

According to spoiler reports, "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 entitled "The Outsider" will find Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) at odds with his own clan after his unannounced departure and sudden return to Kattegat.

Apparently, the reception of his clan is quite critical regarding his proposed plan for this season, which is to sail back to Wessex and avenge the death of his people at the hands of the treacherous King Ecbert (Linus Roache).

If remembered, the latter English king commanded his son to massacre the Viking settlers in England. A survivor did flee but Ragnar chose to kill the messenger to silence the tragedy. The truth has ever since hounded the Nordic king which later pushed him to do other horrifying things like killing a maid servant who threatened to expose it to the public.

"Ragnar has returned to Kattegat and there are secrets to be revealed. He makes plans to return to Wessex to right past wrongs but finds that those who were once his closest allies now have plans of their own. Even the Lothbrok sons refuse to join their father's mission – except one," the synopsis for the upcoming segment reads.

Series creator Michael Hirst once told The Hollywood Reporter that this particular "unfinished business" has driven him out from his self-imposed exile. He is, after all, a Viking and as its king, he needs to see that this "great injustice" be settled and avenged.

With regard to that one person who would likely accompany him in this journey, it really would be safe to say that it is Alex Hogh Andersen's Ivar the Boneless.

True enough, the promo trailers for the episode showcased the crippled Lothbrok charging into battle.

"Vikings" season 4 returns on Nov. 30 on History Channel.
