With the BlackBerry Priv turning out to be a popular device, it is clear that a number of other unique devices like the DROID Turbo 2 are going to have to fight to attract competitors. Here is how the shatterproof device from Motorola stacks up against the curved screen Priv.

Design

When it comes to design, the Priv comes out with a slight edge as it has a nice curved screen and physical keyboard that is great for typing. The keyboard helpfully slides behind the screen when it is not in use and one curved edge can be customized to show panels for apps and the charge in the battery. As for its build, the device has a metal frame and fiberglass on its back panel and does not have a fingerprint scanner. Coming to the DROID Turbo 2 it has a metal frame and Soft Grip material on its back, but it can be customized on the Moto Maker website. Here, different colored frames, metal accents and back panels made from leather and ballistic nylon can be chosen. However, it also does not have a fingerprint scanner.

Display

The display on the DROID Turbo 2 is importantly marketed as having ShatterShield technology which keeps it from breaking. As for the screens, each of these devices has a similar AMOLED capacitive version measuring 5.4 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 540 pixels per inch.

Specs

Here the DROID Turbo 2 is effortlessly ahead as it has a better Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU. Within the BlackBerry Priv there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, coupled with a hexa-core CPU and an Adreno 418 GPU.

Memory

There are similar memory slots on their devices and each can support up to 200 GB. Coming to RAM they are again similar with 3 GB each.

Camera

Coming to camera quality, the DROID Turbo 2 with its 21 megapixel version is ahead as it ranked third on the DxOMark site, whereas the BlackBerry Priv has an 18 megapixel version with OIS.

Price

The DROID Turbo 2 has a price of $624 unlocked while the BlackBerry Priv costs $250 with a two year contract.
